Getting started

How do I create my online store on shopsdz?
Go to the sign-up page, choose a store name and a subdomain (e.g. mystore.shopsdz.com), and create your owner account with an email and password. Your store is live immediately. Then add your products, customize your homepage, and share your URL.
Do I need a bank card to get started?
No. The most accessible plan is Starter, payable by international card via Paddle, or by manual activation if you don't have a card (just contact us). You can create your store, add your products, and start selling quickly. No hidden fees, cancel any time.
How long does it take to launch a store?
Creating the store itself takes less than 5 minutes. The total time depends on how many products you add and how much customization you want. Most merchants have a fully working store in under an hour.
Can I try it before choosing a paid plan?
Starter is our most accessible entry plan (see the Pricing page for the current price). You can create your store, set up your products, and customize your homepage. If you need advanced features (custom domain, analytics, announcement bar), you can upgrade to Pro or Business at any time.

Products & catalog

How many products can I add?
The Starter plan allows up to 50 products, Pro up to 500, and Business up to 10,000. Each product can have multiple images, a detailed description, a price, stock, and variants.
How do I organize my products into categories?
From the admin interface, create categories (e.g. Men, Women, Accessories) and assign each product to one or more of them. Your customers can then browse using the category filters in your store.
Can I bulk-import my products?
Bulk import via CSV file is currently in development. For now, products are added one by one from the admin, which takes about 30 seconds per product.
Which image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP are all supported. We recommend at least 1200×1200 pixels for the best rendering on every screen. Each product can have up to 8 images.

Payment & orders

Which payment methods are supported?
Cash on delivery is available on every plan with zero configuration. Card payment (Visa/Mastercard via Stripe) can be activated from the admin on the Pro and Business plans.
How do orders work?
When a customer places an order, you get an instant notification in your dashboard. The order shows the customer's details, the products ordered, the total amount, and the chosen payment method. You can then mark it as "preparing," "shipped," or "delivered."
Can I accept orders without a customer account?
Yes. Your customers can check out as guests, with no account required — they simply provide their name, email, phone, and delivery address. A customer account stays optional for shoppers who want to track their orders.
How do I handle refunds?
Refunds are handled manually by the merchant. For cash-on-delivery orders, there's no automatic refund since the transaction happens at delivery. For card payments, you can issue a refund directly from your Stripe dashboard.

Customization & design

Can I customize my store's design?
Yes. You can customize colors, logo, text, images, and the announcement bar from the admin. The page builder lets you assemble your homepage from blocks — hero, banners, product grids, testimonials, newsletter.
Can I use my own domain name?
A custom domain (store.com instead of store.shopsdz.com) is available on the Pro and Business plans. Our team configures the DNS and SSL certificate for you, at no extra cost.
Is my store mobile-responsive?
Yes, every shopsdz store is fully responsive. The design automatically adapts to phones, tablets, and computers. Since over 70% of online purchases happen on mobile, this is a top priority.
Can I change templates later?
Yes. You can switch templates at any time from the admin without losing your products or settings. Only the visual style changes.

Accounts & security

Can I manage multiple stores?
Yes. From a single owner account, you can create and manage as many stores as you like. Each store has its own subdomain, products, orders, and identity — ideal for running several brands or product lines.
Is my data isolated from other stores?
Yes. The multi-tenant architecture completely isolates every store's data — products, orders, customers, media. No leakage is possible between stores, even ones managed under the same owner account.
Can I add team members?
Yes. The Starter, Pro, and Business plans all let you add staff accounts (managers, order pickers) with defined permissions: 2 accounts on Starter, 5 on Pro, 25 on Business.
How is my customers' data protected?
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/SSL) and at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Authentication uses secure httpOnly cookies. We never sell or share your data.

Billing & plans

How does billing work for paid plans?
Starter, Pro, and Business are billed monthly (see the Pricing page for current prices), via Paddle for international cards, or through manual activation if you don't have a card. No commitment — change plans or cancel at any time.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. You can move from Starter to Pro or Business whenever you like. You can also downgrade if you no longer need the advanced features. The change takes effect immediately, and Paddle prorates the payment.
Are there transaction fees?
No transaction fees on cash-on-delivery payments. For card payments, Stripe charges its standard fee (around 2.9% + €0.30 per transaction). shopsdz never takes a commission on your sales.
What payment methods work for paid plans?
By international bank card (Visa/Mastercard) via Paddle, our payment partner, with automatic renewal. If you don't have an international card, contact us for manual activation (bank transfer) — while we finish integrating CIB and EDAHABIA.
